Medieval manuscript template

Quill on medieval parchment: maximum feathering, iron-gall brown ink and a blackletter scribal hand set at a slow, deliberate size.

Medieval stock was thirsty and uneven, so the preset pushes absorption and bleed near their limits — strokes spread along the grain and thicken where the quill lingered.

The blackletter hand keeps the dense vertical rhythm of a real scriptorium page, with narrow counters and heavy uprights.

Add rubricated headings in red ochre by changing the ink on selected lines.

Questions

Can I add illuminated capitals?
Yes — use the decorative initials hand for the first letter and insert an image behind it.
Is the feathering real?
It's simulated from measured absorption, bleed and roughness values rather than a texture overlay.
